FAQ
Straight answers before you book.
Will you find faults just to sell us the repairs?
No. Every observation comes with its code, where it is and a photo, so you can see exactly why it was raised. Any remedial work is quoted separately at a fixed price, and you are free to use another electrician for it.
How quickly will we get the report?
Within 48 hours of the visit, as a PDF named and dated, ready to file. If we find anything dangerous, you hear from us on the day.
Can you test without shutting the building down?
Yes. We test circuit by circuit and agree any power-off moments with you in advance. Evening and weekend visits can be arranged.
Our tenants are hard to reach. Do you arrange access?
Send us their details and we confirm an appointment window with each one. Our electrician carries ID, so tenants know who they are letting in.
How often does a building need an EICR?
Every five years for rented homes, and for most offices and shops. Some premises, such as industrial units and swimming pools, need it more often. Emergency lighting is a separate job on its own timetable: a function test every month and a full-duration test every year.
