Insurance Safety Certificates

Insurance safety certificate is proof that you have appropriate insurance coverage for a specific activity. However, it is not an insurance policy and does not apply to all activities. This certificate is essential because it is a proof to other parties who are interested in working or collaborating with you.

When someone wants to use your facility, rent your building or space, they may sometimes request for your insurance safety certificate as it covers them from extra expenses when there is a damage in the course of the event or lease. What this means is that they won’t be liable for paying again for the repair or replacement of anything damaged or the treatment for someone injured as a result of using their premises. This proof is usually in a one-page document called a “Certificate of Insurance” or “COI”.
